Cardiovascular Disease & Diabetes in Multiculturally Diverse Communities: Lessons For CVD Prevention, Treatment & Management
At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
• summarize some of the latest findings regarding the differences in which various multicultural populations in
Canada differ in terms of CVD & diabetes as well as related risk factors;
• describe potential interventions, programs and policies that could be used to address multicultural differences in CVD & diabetes, lack of disease and risk factor awareness and improved treatment/management for these groups; and
• adapt workshop materials/findings to their current work.
